Virus & SpyWare Cleaning & Protection

Customer F has a shop in Sanderstead and a computer at home which is used for doing  accounts and administration. The PC also has a domestic role to perform, with teenagers surfing the net, etc. After getting broadband they soon found that the PC was behaving strangely and eventually became unusable.  Poppy IT Services found that it had become so badly infested with ‘Adware’ that it was necessary to reload Windows & all software from scratch. Having restored the PC to full health, we also recommended & installed Anti-virus and firewall software to avoid future problems. Finally, we created a full backup / recovery disk to speed up the process, should it happen again.   Guess what! … about a year later a particularly nasty virus managed to disable the Anti-Virus software and the PC ground to a halt once more.  GIN Jewellery commented: “Thanks to the backup CD from last time, Steve was able to get us working again very quickly. He also added another line of defence with separate Adware / SpyWare prevention software.  All working in time to do my VAT return!”

Customer G uses a dial-up Internet connection and thought he didn’t need anti-virus software etc.  Ooops  - SpyWare and viruses still managed to sneak in. “I was really pleased when Steve managed to clean up my PC and provide the software protection I needed - and without losing any of my files or settings.  Fantastic!”
